Size: 35cm x 35cm – ideal for holding a 100g Lush bottle, pot or standard-sized bath bomb.
When they’re not ripping up wrapping paper, knocking over the Christmas tree or hiding in boxes, our beloved Christmas companions inspired this wonderfully mischievous reusable lokta wrapping paper.
Designed by Angie Carlucci who was inspired by “all the furry friends folks celebrate the holidays with-and the mischief they can get into.”
Leaving the world Lusher than we found it
Nepalese handmade paper is made from the fibrous inner bark of the evergreen shrub, Daphne Bhopal, also known as Lokta bushes. They are cut a few cm from ground level, allowing the plant to regrow from the radial root. The plants regenerate and can then be re-harvested after 3-7 years depending on altitude and growing conditions. Bastipur, close to the Indian border, has the perfect dry conditions required for the papermaking process and the unit there was set up to create employment and support empowerment of women in the area. Pass forward, reuse or recycle for a lush environment.
How to use:
Use this handmade reusable alternative to single-use paper to wrap up your chosen products for a tailor-made gift.
